Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Journeyman Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Journeyman Technician to join our team at Ryder System in Milwaukee, WI.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel engines, after-treatment systems, and fuel injection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
  • Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after-treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Operate shop computers and diagnostic test equipment proficiently
  • Work independently with minimal support and demonstrate analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
Requirements:
  • Four (4) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, Electronics or ASE Master Mechanic, preferred
  • Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
