About the Role:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Clinical Director to join our team in the Pediatric Preoperative and Postoperative department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating available resources to provide high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations, and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage personnel, ensuring the safe and effective functioning of the unit.
  • Contribute to the professional growth and development of staff, assessing patient care, counseling staff on identified areas for improvement, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaborative relationships, supporting and maintaining positive communication on the unit, and acting as a role model in customer relations.
  • Participate in service and hospital-wide committees as assigned, promoting effective resource utilization and using effective communication strategies.
  • Plan staffing in accordance with established standards, ensuring safe staffing patterns and monitoring and evaluating the standards of care for the unit.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice professional nursing in New Jersey.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Pediatric National certification in a clinical area required (i.e., CPAN).
  • APHON Certification required or within 2 years of acceptance of the position.
  • 3-5 years of relative clinical practice in PreOp/PACU.
