Job Title:

Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards

Job Summary:

This position oversees programs addressing broad student needs, including student conduct, conflict resolution, and referrals. It provides leadership in the development and implementation of a campus-wide student conduct program, utilizing best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and assess a comprehensive student conduct system and processes
  • Conduct student conduct and Title IX investigations, compile and evaluate evidence, and make determinations of findings
  • Supervise and train Residence Life staff on the student conduct code, processes, and philosophy
  • Meet with students referred for various issues, maintain and update addiction assessment and referral processes, and refer students for counseling and assessment as needed
  • Develop and oversee the office web page and portal page, and work with the C.A.R.E. Team to maintain and revise methods of communication regarding mental health situations
  • Work with Campus Police to create annual security reports in compliance with the Clery Act
  • Update and develop policies in the Student Handbook, working with campus legal counsel to maintain compliance and mitigate risk
  • Serve as a member of the C.A.R.E. Team, Academic Appeals Committee, and other committees as assigned
  • Maintain working relationships with various campus offices and coordinate review of applicants with criminal history or conduct history
Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree is required, and a master's degree in Student Affairs or a related field is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two to three years of related experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
