Position Overview

TheraCare of New York is seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Behavioral Support Specialist. This position involves providing in-home therapy to children on the Autism Spectrum, utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized strategies of Applied Behavioral Analysis to achieve the goals outlined in each child's treatment plan.
  • Monitor and document progress towards objectives using established data tracking systems.
  • Work collaboratively with BCBAs to customize activities that cater to the unique needs of each child.
  • Engage with family members and external service providers to promote skill maintenance and generalization.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to support professional development.
  • Maintain accurate session notes and ensure timely billing submissions.
  • Foster open communication with the BCBA, program manager, families, and support staff.
  • Comply with the policies and procedures set forth by TheraCare's ABA Provider Services.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to working with individuals diagnosed with Autism.
