Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bar Support Specialist to join our team at BNEG. As a Bar Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bars and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet Guests with a Welcoming Smile: Provide fast, friendly service to our guests, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist Bartenders: Support bartenders in all aspects of the guest experience, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service.
  • Menu Item Support: Assist guests with menu item inquiries, providing informative and helpful guidance to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Communicate Guest Needs: Effectively communicate guest needs to bartenders or servers, ensuring that every guest receives the attention they deserve.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Clean all glassware and bar tools as necessary, keeping the workspace and general bar area clean and organized.
  • Monitor Guest Consumption: Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene when necessary, adhering to all necessary guidelines and regulations.
  • Promote BNEG: Promote BNEG in a positive and professional manner, showcasing our brand values and commitment to exceptional service.
  • Teamwork: Work well with others, collaborating with other bar backs, servers, bartenders, and management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 1 year of direct bar back experience in a high-volume, upscale food and beverage and/or club environment required.
  • Certification: TIPS or other recognized alcohol certification a plus and will be required if chosen for the position.
  • Appearance: A neat and professional appearance is essential.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public, and co-workers.
  • Teamwork: Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Lifting and Moving: May be required to lift or move up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  • Work Environment: Will be required to withstand long hours on your feet in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Availability: Non-typical office hours will be customary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Friday through Sunday availability is a must.
