Job SummaryWe are seeking a Charge Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg Surgical Team. As a leader in our unit, you will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care, instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions, maintain and review patient records, administer medications, and provide leadership to your nursing team.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
- Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions
- Maintain and review patient records
- Administer medications
- Provide leadership to your nursing team
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN Preferred
- American Heart Association BLS
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer in the following units: Progressive Care, ICU, SICU, CVOR, PACU, EP, Endo, and ER
- PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire/transfer in the Emergency Department
- CPI training required within 3 months of hire/transfer for Behavioral Health
- Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
