Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Charge Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg Surgical Team. As a leader in patient care, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of patients in your unit
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
  • Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
  • Provide leadership to your nursing team during your designated shift

Requirements

  • Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN Preferred
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer in the following units: Progressive Care, ICU, SICU, CVOR, PACU, EP, Endo, and ER
  • PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire/transfer in the Emergency Department
  • CPI training required within 3 months of hire/transfer for Behavioral Health
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred
  • Critical thinking, service excellent, and good interpersonal communication skills
