Join Our Team as a Charge Nurse Med Surg Surgical Team RN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our Med Surg Surgical Team at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. As a leader in our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and ensuring that all patients receive high-quality, efficient care.

About the Role

The Charge Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the care of patients in their unit. This includes instructing patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions, maintaining and reviewing patients' records, administering medications in accordance with physician orders, and providing leadership to the nursing team during their designated shift.

Requirements
  • Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN Preferred
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer in the following units: Progressive Care, ICU, SICU, CVOR, PACU, EP, Endo, and ER
  • PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire/transfer in the Emergency Department
  • CPI training required within 3 months of hire/transfer for Behavioral Health
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
