Administrative Support Specialist, EDI

LogixHealth is dedicated to enhancing healthcare through innovative services and technology. We are in search of motivated individuals who possess a strong sense of inquiry and a desire to improve processes.
Objective
The role involves executing various administrative functions within the EDI division, which handles demographic data downloads and oversees all facets of billing, both electronic and paper formats, in addition to ERA retrieval.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Ebills reports to determine billing instructions for accounts.
- Process insurance claims as directed; or
- Escalate to an Account Manager; or
- Conduct research for further details.
- Generate printed claims/statements.
- Organize in the correct sequence.
- Distribute to the relevant department personnel.
- Manage daily custom reports addressing client-specific concerns.
- Update information in Allscripts PM as necessary.

Education
A High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Technical Proficiency
Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software is essential, with a strong command of MS Excel and MS Word.
Experience
Demonstrated organizational skills and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic work environment are essential.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure.
- Capability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Aptitude for reading and interpreting documents such as safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to apply common sense in executing instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Ability to address issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized scenarios.
- Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision.
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods, utilize hands, communicate verbally, and occasionally walk or reach with hands or arms.
