The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Special Investigations Unit as a Director. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the investigation and management of life insurance claims and fraud programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing investigative and operational priorities
  • Managing workload balance and staffing strategies
  • Creating and maintaining industry, law enforcement, and business relationships
  • Providing guidance to staff on procedures, guidelines, and training reference materials
  • Overseeing decisions made within the claims and benefits process
  • Approving claims within assigned authority limits

We offer a flexible work environment with a requirement to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Tampa, FL, or Colorado Springs, CO. Campuses. If located outside of San Antonio Campus, travel will be required up to 25% of the time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience
  • 8 years of relevant business experience, including 3 years of claims and/or insurance fraud experience
  • 3 years of direct team lead or management experience

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in claims and fraud investigation, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. A Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI) designation is a plus.
