Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage staff within residential units, ensuring compliance and high-quality care for residents. Direct care staff in maintaining a safe and well-equipped living environment while facilitating individuals' daily schedules.
Participate in the hiring process, orienting and training new staff. Monitor compliance with departmental and regulatory standards, manage attendance, and handle leave requests and payroll documentation.
Develop staffing plans and ensure adequate coverage for individual safety and well-being. Conduct regular staff meetings to address policies, procedures, and unit concerns.
Engage with individuals and their families to ensure quality care, encouraging family involvement and communication regarding individual needs and rights.
Report any allegations of abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities and maintain accurate records of individuals' finances and care documentation.
Ensure compliance with operational standards and assist in budget management for living units. May require training in medication administration and monitoring of related documentation.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's Degree in a Human Services field is preferred.
A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Proficiency in MS Office applications is necessary, along with a valid driver's license.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule and lift up to 45 lbs safely.
Post-Employment Requirements:
Maintain necessary licenses and certifications, complete annual TB screenings, and participate in required training programs.
Compensation: Salary range: $18.30 to $28.18
