Job Title: Director of Sales

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to join our team at ZIM Aircraft Cabin Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales plans that support our company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage professional business relationships with prospective clients to identify opportunities for the Company to provide quotations and proposals for products and services.
  2. Develop and execute strategies and sales plans detailing customer contact, sales account responsibilities, and sales goals and objectives.
  3. Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price in accordance with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  4. Provide trip reports on all marketing/sales trips, including date of visit, location, company name, contact, and reason for visit.
  5. Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  6. Collaborate with legal and operations stakeholders to ensure contracts are finalized with appropriate terms and conditions negotiated.
  7. Support annual sales planning with the CEO and operations organization.
  8. Support advertising and promotion objectives.
  9. Represent the company within the market community and support the brand's identity and stature in the marketplace.
  10. Demand consistency and discipline in the application of the ZIM Aircraft Cabin Solutions brand guidelines.
  11. Prepare and conduct presentations of company products and capabilities to current and prospective customers.
  12. Ensure efficient and timely response to customer inquiries by working closely with all cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, engineering, or operations management; advanced degree desirable.
  • Ten years' experience in the commercial aircraft interior industry, preferably in sales, engineering, or a program management role.
  • Working knowledge of sales process, procurement practices, and contractual terms and conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed negotiation and presentation skills, with powers of persuasion.
  • Excellent technical understanding of highly complex interior products and reconfiguration services.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, capable of operating effectively with a minimum of direction, and able to work effectively under pressure with significant interaction within all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with financial models.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Professional and presentable.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong team building attributes.
