Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Urban Rest Stop Team Member to join our team at the Low Income Housing Institute. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

About the Role

This position involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will provide onsite support to patrons, ensure a clean and welcoming environment, and maintain accurate records of facility use and patron information. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the success of the Urban Rest Stop and provide excellent customer service to our patrons.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, ensuring their needs are met and they feel welcome and valued.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to daily cleaning schedules and spot cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Monitor facility use, report maintenance concerns, and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Distribute personal care items, monitor towel use, and enforce Rest Stop rules and procedures.
  • Mediate conflicts, model problem-solving strategies, and implement security procedures when necessary.
  • Enter data into databases, maintain accurate records, and perform administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk during majority of shift, and work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Functional knowledge of computers and keyboards, with ability to enter data into databases and follow database procedures.
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
Benefits
  • $21.26-$27.55 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and sick leave available.
  • 116 hours of vacation accrual during first year and 11 paid holidays (prorated for part-time employees).
