About the Role:

Pocket Worlds is in search of a Human Resources Operations Specialist to play a crucial role within our dynamic and high-achieving team. We are looking for a motivated and inquisitive individual who is ready to embrace challenges and advance their career in HR and recruitment, contributing to our growth and success. This position demands meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Candidates will undergo an assessment during the interview process to evaluate typing speed, comprehension, and attention to detail capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of People Operations and manage various aspects of Employee and Candidate Experience.
  • Oversee and manage Payroll, Onboarding and Offboarding processes, Benefits administration, HRIS, and daily operational tasks.
  • Facilitate Performance Evaluations, Promotions, Engagement Surveys, Open Enrollment, I9 documentation, and other HR initiatives.
  • Propose and implement internal programs for team building, both virtual and in-person.
  • Enhance recruitment processes by automating backend operations and systems.
  • Regularly review, update, and develop comprehensive HR policies and procedures.
  • Utilize HR platforms such as Rippling, Deel, Ashby, and Lattice to optimize HR operations and boost efficiency.
  • Coordinate and manage the distribution of employee appreciation gifts across our international team, spanning multiple countries.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR or Executive Assistance, preferably in a fully remote startup environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or substantial knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations in the USA.
  • Familiarity with various employment types, including W-2s, 1099s, W-8s, and Employer of Record Services (EORS).
  • Ambitious and eager to learn, contributing positively to the team's success.
  • Experience in developing and managing onboarding and offboarding programs.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to adapt quickly and learn efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proactive, curious, and receptive to feedback from colleagues.
  • Passionate about making a meaningful impact.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing company performance evaluations is highly desirable.
  • Recruitment and Coordination experience is preferred, as this role will collaborate closely with the entire Talent Acquisition team.
  • Global payroll experience is a significant advantage.
  • Exposure to various HR functions, particularly within the Talent Acquisition domain, would be beneficial.
