Job Summary:

As a Production Supervisor at Tyson Foods Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a manufacturing team. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. You will be responsible for supervising a team of personnel who perform related tasks and activities, and you will be expected to provide guidance, training, and support to ensure their success.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficient and effective production of products
  • Supervise a team of personnel to ensure they are performing their tasks safely and efficiently
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure their success
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are performing to the highest standard possible
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of production, quality, and safety
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems and improve processes
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other stakeholders
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed

Requirements:
Experience: 1 year in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred

Education:
High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred

Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills helpful

Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills

Supervisory:
This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities

Travel:
1-5 trips per year
