Job Summary:

The Early Head Start Lead Teacher - Program Manager is a key member of the Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Early Head Start program. This individual will provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Oversee the implementation of the Early Head Start program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Staff Supervision: Provide guidance and support to Early Head Start staff, including teachers, assistants, and family advocates.
  • Family Engagement: Foster strong relationships with families, providing them with resources and support to achieve their goals.
  • Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, ensuring access to resources and services for families.
  • Program Evaluation: Conduct regular evaluations of the Early Head Start program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between the Early Head Start program and other departments within the Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate of Arts or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: Two years of experience working with children in an organized setting or a combination of college and years of experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

The Early Head Start Lead Teacher - Program Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff, and will be required to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.

Accountability:

The Early Head Start Lead Teacher - Program Manager is accountable to the Education Supervising Manager and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.
