In the role of Journeyman Electric Technician, you will be tasked with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with both local and national electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in interpreting and laying out blueprints.
- Review specifications to ensure project adherence.
- Capable of installing and terminating electrical systems ranging from medium to low voltage.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code.
- Proficient in bending and installing EMT and RGS conduit.
- Demonstrate organization, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to lead and inspire team members.
- Complete and submit necessary documentation on a daily and weekly basis.
- Prioritize safety and conduct weekly safety meetings with the team.
- Mentor and train aspiring apprentices.
- Possess a valid driver's license for job site transportation.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to navigate jobsites with uneven terrain.
- Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.
- Regularly engage in physical activities such as walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
- Lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds consistently.
- Work in environments that may be wet, hot, cold, dirty, and fast-paced.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program is required. A journeyman card is essential for consideration.
- Experience in electrical work within commercial and industrial settings is necessary.
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain it.
