Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to job specifications and local codes.
  • Determine the type of tools and equipment needed for a job and use a variety of tools, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to evaluate the quality and performance of electrical systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operating errors and take corrective action.
  • Follow blueprints to ensure compliance with building and safety codes.
  • Place conduit, pipes, or tubing in designated areas and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches and moving or lifting heavy objects.
  • Fluent with EMT conduit and experience with rigid conduit.
  • Perform power distributions, including transformers, panels, and fenders.
  • Able to perform large and small wire pulls with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of special systems and ability to establish a team work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeymen's card or equivalent in years of experience.
  • Minimum of OSHA 10 completed.
Work Environment

This is a field-based position, and electricians may work in a variety of environments, including construction and maintenance settings. Working conditions can change dramatically from one job to another, and electricians may be required to work in confined or restricted locations.

Preferred Skills
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Knowledge of Arc Flash safety procedures.
  • Attention to detail and technical management skills.
  • Ability to use electronic mail and resource management tools.
