Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Histology Laboratory Supervisor to oversee our Diagnostic Anatomic Histopathology laboratories. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management and integration of our Histotechnology team, reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager.

The Supervisor will establish performance benchmarks and manage laboratory operations to achieve consistent quality outcomes. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising laboratory personnel engaged in testing, as well as implementing new technologies.

In alignment with our Medical Laboratory Science programs, the Supervisor will also facilitate staff development by enabling team members to serve as instructors for Histology students.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations and team activities to enhance efficiency and meet quality standards.
  • Supervise staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement quality control and assurance programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to support laboratory accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time, with a second shift schedule from 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

Qualifications:

We seek candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in laboratory management. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is preferred.
