As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of laboratory professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the laboratory supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including managing staff, coordinating testing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Train and develop laboratory staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and report on laboratory performance metrics, including turnaround times, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and implement changes as necessary to improve laboratory operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science, clinical laboratory science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with a strong background in laboratory operations and management.
- ASCP and/or AMT certifications are a plus.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with laboratory staff, management, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
