Director of Sterile Processing Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sterile Processing to lead our Sterile Processing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining high-quality patient care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of sterile processing professionals to ensure efficient and effective processing of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of sterile processing services.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, management, or a related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field, with at least 2 years of management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of professionals.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to sterile processing.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive departmental improvement.
