Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician - Day Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at East Madison Hospital. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, sterilizing, and reprocessing patient equipment, surgical instruments, and medical supplies in support of all hospital areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and efficiently decontaminate, clean, sterilize, and reprocess patient equipment, surgical instruments, and medical supplies.
  • Display a wide-range knowledge of ever-changing instrumentation, equipment, and techniques.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment that requires detailed, technical skills.
  • Have a role in keeping our patients safe and know that you are contributing to our remarkable patient care.
  • Interact with cutting-edge surgical instrumentation and reprocessing equipment.
  • Be a member of a cohesive team assisting and supporting each other.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience in reprocessing.
  • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 or Trauma center or similar size hospital.
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
  • Certification by CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or IAHCSMM/HSPA as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician.

Shifts: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

State License Details: Must Be Currently Active, Minimum Years of Experience: 2, Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 40
