Job Overview

A prominent global financial organization is seeking to appoint a Senior Manager of Operational Risk.

In this pivotal role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to various departments within the organization, assisting them in achieving their objectives while ensuring a strong business focus and presence.

Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and enhancing governance frameworks, implementing robust process controls, and facilitating business self-assessments across various processes and platforms.

Key responsibilities entail:

  • Defining the scope, prioritizing, and supporting issue resolution by influencing business units.
  • Conducting root cause analyses for recurring issues.
  • Performing quality assurance on documentation.
  • Overseeing the remediation process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operational risk management, supporting global platforms, processes, or capabilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business process design and enhancement, including the creation of comprehensive process maps.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Experience managing Periodic Risk and Control Self-Assessments (PRSAs) and Operational Risk Events.
