The Team
At Compunnel Inc., our Group Risk Management (GRM) team acts as a strategic partner, guiding our business units in making informed decisions that align with our organizational goals. We are dedicated to refining our Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Control, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Corporate Insurance frameworks, which are essential for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting various risk types.
The Position
We are looking for a Senior Operational Risk Consultant to join our ERM team, focusing on the North American Market. This role will report to the AVP of ERM and will play a crucial part in the ongoing development and execution of our ERM Framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Risk Assessments, including Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA), ensuring thorough evaluation and management of key risks.
- Oversee the incident reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Support the development of management reporting for business units.
- Facilitate risk initiatives, including Key Risk Indicators and management reporting.
- Act as a subject matter expert in risk management for the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technology management, contributing to strategic growth initiatives.
- Provide objective assurance and advisory services to management, identifying significant risks and formulating risk response strategies.
- Assist in compliance with Business Continuity and Crisis Management policies, including the development of Business Continuity Plans.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to inform risk management practices.
- Engage with various assurance functions to support an integrated risk management approach.
Skills, Requirements, and Competencies:
- Over 10 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit within the financial services sector.
- Familiarity with capital markets and trading operations is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of regional regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience in implementing integrated risk management frameworks in complex organizations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze and present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Innovative and strategic thinker, capable of challenging existing processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
