PCL Construction Services, Inc. is a leading employee-owned company that empowers individuals to build a better future. We're seeking a skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our Minneapolis District team.

About the Role

This is a regular full-time position based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with travel opportunities to San Antonio, Texas. As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing project HSE and regulatory requirements, identifying and mitigating hazards, and providing guidance and coaching to project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project HSE and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and evaluate hazards, and develop and deliver project-specific HSE training
  • Review project training objectives and trend action plans, and communicate industry statistics and hazards to project teams
  • Conduct formal HSE inspections and audits, and provide guidance and coaching to project teams
  • Develop and evaluate the effectiveness of project emergency response plans, and execute crisis communication plans
  • Verify that equipment and tool inspections are being conducted and documented
  • Participate in incident investigation processes, and determine when external resources are required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
  • CRSP certification preferred (CDN)
  • ASP certificate preferred (US)
  • 9 years of experience in a related industry, with direct experience in HSE
  • 4 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and terminology
  • Strong ability to coach and mentor others
  • Expert knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation related to projects/area
