Job Title: Behavioral Health Crisis Clinician

Beacon Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Crisis Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our crisis response team, you will provide direct clinical crisis intervention, assessment, case management, and referrals to high-risk populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide crisis assessment and referral, crisis face-to-face, or phone calls
  • Provide care coordination with hospitals and other treatment providers
  • Collaborate with community partners to build relationships to support the needs of high-risk populations
  • Serve as crisis back-up clinician as needed for crisis calls, crisis face-to-face, and crisis assessments
  • Provide back-up Mobile Crisis Response to area hospitals as needed
  • Collaborate with agency leaders in implementing the Zero Suicide initiative at Beacon and assist with Enhanced Care Pathway
  • Provide clinical consultation as needed to all clinical staff in regards to crisis situations
  • Work alongside treatment teams to ensure consumer and family engagement in services
  • Complete clinical documentation in AVATAR within 72 hours of service provided, clearly reflecting interventions provided and necessity of those interventions
  • Maintain knowledge of agency technology programs and/or systems needed to do the job and use them effectively
  • Maintain required training and certifications
  • Meet agency productivity standards
  • Actively participate in staff meetings
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree required
  • Provisionally Licensed or Licensed preferred (LPC, LCSW)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Valid Driver's license and state-mandated minimum auto insurance required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of position-related experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Prior mental health and/or substance use knowledge required
  • Strong knowledge of clinical best practices in behavioral health and Trauma-Informed Care practices
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, terminology, diagnoses, and best practice knowledge required
  • Prior healthcare technology software experience preferred
