Job Summary:

Leidos Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager Power Delivery to join our team. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services (PDS) division, you will be responsible for managing various sized distribution or transmission projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance. You will be responsible for ensuring project costs, schedule, and scope are managed, including the development of recovery plans, to stay within approved limits.

You will work closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables, and be responsible for creating and maintaining client and office schedules. Additionally, you will develop and maintain comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various sized distribution or transmission projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities
  • Responsible for overall project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance
  • Ensure project costs, schedule, and scope are managed, including the development of recovery plans
  • Work with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables
  • Create and maintain client and office schedules
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking
  • Interfacing directly with the client and internal management to report progress, costs, schedule, and risks
  • Assist with the preparation of bid documents, development of requests for proposal responses, and cost estimates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance, with four plus (4+) years of relevant Project Management experience
  • Familiarity with the electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on assigned tasks
  • Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, or WorkFront PM Platforms
  • Ability to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner in briefings and meetings
  • Demonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting business
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Periodic travel is required; candidates should possess a valid US Driver's License

Preferred Experience:

  • Specific experience in Transmission Engineering is strongly preferred
  • Accounting or Operations Management Background
  • Good with Excel, analytics, and mathematics
