Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Materials Inspector to join our team at Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of construction materials, including concrete, soil, and other site materials.
  • Collect and prepare samples for testing and analysis.
  • Monitor and report on general contractor activities, including earthwork, soil construction, foundation/subgrade evaluation, reinforcing steel, concrete placements, and masonry.
  • Prepare daily reports summarizing test results and construction site observations.
  • Collaborate with site managers and engineers to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
  • Valid Driver's License with Clean Motor Vehicle Driving history (3 years)
  • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while completing scheduled tasks.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of smartphones and computers for communication and record keeping.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, lift (50 pounds), tug, and pull on unstable, unpaved ground.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACI certification
  • NICET certification
  • ICC certification (Soils Inspector, Reinforced Concrete, Masonry Special Inspector)
