At Danlaw, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for complex high-speed designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for our products, including housing for complex high-speed designs, mirror integration of cameras and sensors, and mechanical integration of multiple mode sensor sets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective risk identification, ownership, and execution of projects.
- Develop and maintain costed Bill of Materials (BOMs), cost comparisons, payback analysis, and manufacturing process costs.
- Lead product designs or design teams as required by the level of complexity and timing of the assigned project.
- Drive problem resolution using a disciplined approach methodology, such as A3, 8D, or Six Sigma.
- Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization to ensure successful execution of projects.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
- Experience with design tools such as CAD software and simulation tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive resolution using a disciplined approach methodology.
- Experience with cost analysis and BOM development.
