Education Program Manager

Job Summary
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) is seeking an experienced Education Program Manager to join our team. As an Instructional Leader, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational program for students who are deaf and hard-of-hearing.
Description of Duties
- Assist in building and sustaining the school mission and vision while facilitating shared leadership and addressing internal and external dynamics.
- Oversee school climate through clear communication and foster a positive school environment.
- Provide instructional leadership and participate in professional development to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize data to inform instructional decisions and organizational management planning.
- Support a learning environment based on high expectations and respect for all individuals.
- Manage conflict and crisis in a timely and effective manner.
- Practice shared decision making and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Monitor curriculum, instruction, and assessment to drive student success.
- Execute human resource administration functions, including selection and retention of quality teachers and staff.
- Provide professional growth opportunities and establish mentoring programs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to teacher evaluation and provide a positive climate for teacher evaluation.
- Follow legal guidance for teacher evaluations and ensure compliance.
- Assist in coordinating safety, daily operations, and maintenance of the facility.
- Seek and allocate fiscal resources to support the school program.
- Organize and manage technology resources to enhance student learning.
- Oversee communication and community relations for the school.
- Demonstrate effective communication with teachers, students, parents, and the larger community.
- Influence student achievement and teaching quality by encouraging and supporting educators.
- Set, support, and sustain a focus on school goals and student achievement.
- Exhibit professionalism and demonstrate high standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in teaching math or science, program management, or working in a school serving deaf and hard-of-hearing students is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
A Master's degree in education, administration, public administration, or a related field, along with L-5 certification and two years of program management experience in an educational setting, are required.
