  • Operations Management Responsibilities
    • Foster a culture where safety is a core value in daily operations and strive towards an accident-free workplace.
    • Be a visible leader capable of engaging team members at all levels of the organization.
    • Collaborate with the Plant Leadership Team to resolve challenges and concerns.
    • Create a vision and operating strategy/plan for the production department.
    • Drive execution of site improvement plans, help set operations improvement goals, ensure priorities and accountabilities are clear, provide resources, and remove obstacles to ensure success.
    • Lead collaboration with other functional areas to help resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes.
    • Successfully implement annual and long-term financial and business plans (safety, service, organization, financial, and inventory).
    • Ensure that manufacturing team members meet site goals and objectives.
    • Develop Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSM) for assigned area and confirm linkage to global business strategies.
    • Understand and implement ISO 9001 procedures related to the role and responsibilities of the Operations Manager position.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred); will consider non-degreed with extensive chemical industry experience.
    • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (prefer chemical industry).
    • Strong knowledge and experience in a Process Safety Management (PSM)-regulated manufacturing environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing individuals and teams.
    • Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as a role model for other employees and ensure adherence to safety practices, policies, and procedures.
    • Strong knowledge and experience with the ISO 9000 Quality System.
