Job Overview

Augmentation, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to oversee and optimize the production operations of our manufacturing facility, specializing in cables, wire harnesses, robots, and drones.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production and manufacturing standards, a strong background in ERP systems such as M1, and the ability to manage production schedules, personnel, and projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Floor Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that all manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and meet quality standards.
    • Ensure that production targets are met on time, within budget, and in accordance with company and industry standards.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflow.
  • Scheduling & Resource Management:
    • Develop and maintain production schedules for jobs, projects, and personnel, ensuring proper allocation of resources and on-time delivery of products.
    • Use ERP systems (M1 or similar) to manage and track production orders, inventory, and job progress.
    • Monitor and adjust production schedules as necessary to accommodate shifting priorities or unforeseen issues.
  • Standards & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all production and manufacturing standards, including safety regulations, industry specifications, and quality assurance protocols.
    • Implement and maintain best practices in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Project & Time Management:
    • Utilize Gantt charts and other project management tools to plan and track progress on production tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to balance multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the production team, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and support in problem-solving.
    • Work closely with department heads to ensure effective communication and collaboration across all stages of production.
  • Quality Control & Inspection (Preferred, but not Required):
    • Assist with the inspection of cables and wire harnesses, ensuring that products meet all specifications and quality standards.
    • Oversee and collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that all products are free of defects and compliant with customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify areas for improvement in production processes, and work with teams to implement strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
    • Lead or participate in regular audits and process reviews to ensure consistent adherence to standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred but not required with sufficient experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the manufacturing of cables, wire harnesses, robots, or drones.
  • Proven experience with production standards, scheduling, and running a production floor.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (M1 preferred or similar systems) for managing production, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with experience using Gantt charts and other project management tools.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Preferred but not required: Experience in inspecting cables and wire harnesses, with a focus on quality control and meeting specifications.
