We are seeking a highly skilled Permit Technician I to join our team at Henrico County Virginia. As a Permit Technician I, you will play a critical role in processing, preparing, and issuing various county-issued permits.
Key Responsibilities- Master and apply permit application and licensure-related policies and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of permits.
- Process and review permit applications, verifying contractor licenses and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and other county personnel to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service.
- Accurately calculate permit fees, issue fee payment receipts, and post payments to permits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless permit processing and issuance.
- High School diploma or GED, and two (2) years of customer service or other relevant experience.
- Ability to work in an office setting, with physical ability sufficient to perform assigned duties.
- Strong computer skills, with ability to efficiently use applications, databases, and systems incidental to assigned job duties.
- Competitive salary range: $36,069 - $66,352.
