Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Permit Technician I to join our team at Henrico County Virginia. As a Permit Technician I, you will play a critical role in processing, preparing, and issuing various county-issued permits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master and apply permit application and licensure-related policies and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of permits.
  • Process and review permit applications, verifying contractor licenses and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and other county personnel to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Accurately calculate permit fees, issue fee payment receipts, and post payments to permits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless permit processing and issuance.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED, and two (2) years of customer service or other relevant experience.
  • Ability to work in an office setting, with physical ability sufficient to perform assigned duties.
  • Strong computer skills, with ability to efficiently use applications, databases, and systems incidental to assigned job duties.
