The Human Resources Generalist will play a vital role in the administration of human resources programs and policies, supporting the daily operations of the Lancaster Office at Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain human resources programs and policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and execute employee engagement plans, fostering a positive company culture and promoting employee well-being.
- Manage employee relations, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate new hire orientation, onboarding, and training, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, benefits, and attendance records.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions, facilitating the hiring process.
- Stay up-to-date with trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law, applying this knowledge to maintain compliance and improve HR processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of human resources experience, with a strong background in employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with all constituencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 per year.
