Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Dual Director of Sales to support our Hilton Garden Inn & SpringHill Suites Arcadia. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing the total sales and marketing strategy of two or more hotels located in the same market to ensure that joint occupancy, average daily rate and market share goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell corporate business to clients, focusing on negotiated and group segments.
  • Solicit, negotiate, and generate contracted revenues from volume prospects that meet criteria established in the hotel business plan.
  • Employ revenue management techniques to recommend corporate negotiated and group rate proposals.
  • Prepare and present requests for proposals to ensure both client and hotel receive a good value.
  • Prospect for new contract business using various methods, including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, and trade journals.
  • Develop, implement, and modify sales action plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact management system.
  • Negotiate and close contracts that meet the hotel's business plan objectives.
  • Communicate client requirements to ensure accurate information between client and hotel staff.
  • Coordinate and participate in target market trade shows and sales blitzes.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and maintain competitor files to compete successfully.
  • Maintain good rapport with local civic groups and companies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years hotel on-property sales experience or equivalent industry experience.
  • Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand-specific property management systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management, and listening skills.
  • Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
