Job Overview

Position Summary: This role focuses on utilizing computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) tools to transform concepts into precise technical drawings and schematics. The CADD Technician will collaborate closely with engineers and architects to create accurate and comprehensive drawings for various construction initiatives. Adaptability and responsiveness to evolving responsibilities within the team are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop detailed plans using CADD software based on initial sketches and specifications from engineers and architects.
  2. Work in conjunction with engineering and production teams to integrate design and manufacturing processes into product development.
  3. Augment architectural designs with additional specifications and measurements informed by knowledge of construction techniques.
  4. Create multiple iterations of designs for evaluation by engineers and architects.
  5. Detail dimensions, materials, and methods for new product designs.
  6. Operate under the guidance of senior management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. A minimum of a 2-year degree coupled with 5 years of experience in HVAC/Plumbing estimation.
  2. Expertise in AutoCAD, MS Office applications, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  3. Prior experience in a drafting role is essential.

Supervisory Role: This position does not entail supervising any direct reports.

Work Environment: The job may necessitate visits to construction sites, exposing the employee to ongoing building activities and varying weather conditions. Noise levels may range from moderate to high.

Physical Requirements: The employee must frequently sit, stand, talk, and hear. Occasional lifting of office supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds may be necessary.

Position Type and Work Schedule: This is a full-time role with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Travel Requirements: Travel to construction sites may be required.
