Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Test Engineer II to join our team at Motorola Solutions. This individual will be responsible for designing, executing, and recording testing activities for hardware and software/firmware for Electronics systems and components.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Electronics engineering and testing, with experience in troubleshooting nonconforming items, providing corrective actions, and mistake proofing plans. They will also lead the compliance efforts for IPVideo, ensuring all current and new products meet compliance requirements for UL, FCC, RoHs, ISO, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics engineering or a similar field, with 4+ years of experience in testing and regulatory experience, industrial or medical fields. They will also have strong experience in areas such as OpAmp circuits, Filters, Power supplies, Buck & Boost converters, ADC & DAC applications, Schematic capture, I2C, SPI, & UART, Audio CODECs, amplifiers, microphones, and speakers, Isolated input/output, Ethernet, USB2 & USB3, IoT and power sensitive products, and Use of basic sensors, including Hall effect, temperature, and humidity.

The Hardware Test Engineer II will work closely with the engineering team to design, assemble, and verify test fixtures used for production and product verification. They will also evaluate components for suitability of use in our products through thorough testing, providing guidelines for implementation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling compliance submittals, interfacing with testing labs/agencies, and maintaining certification documentation. They will also communicate with the Director of Engineering and the Project Management department to implement company strategies.

The Hardware Test Engineer II will be required to reside in the Greater Bay Shore, NY area, as they will be required to go into the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and record testing activities for hardware and software/firmware for Electronics systems and components
