Role Summary:

Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse delivers direct patient care aligned with established standards and practices. Responsibilities include administrative tasks such as completing medical documentation, evaluations, and charting as necessary. Ensures that nursing staff are delivering appropriate care to residents in accordance with their care plans and preferences.

Reports to the Director of Nursing

Employment Classification:

Non-exempt


Essential Qualifications:

Educational Background
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Associate's degree preferred
Required Competencies

Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential. Must thrive in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately.

Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or ACLS (which supersedes BLS requirement)
  • First Aid or First Aid CPR AED within 30 days of hire
  • Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card must be submitted within 60 days of hire
Licensure:

Arizona State LPN Licensure or compact state required upon hire.
