Role Summary:
Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers direct patient care in line with established standards and practices. Responsibilities include administrative tasks such as completing medical documentation, reports, and evaluations as required. The LPN ensures that nursing staff provide appropriate care to residents, adhering to their care plans and preferences.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to: Director of Nursing
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Associate's degree preferred
Skills Required:
The role requires strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to work independently. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to challenges.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or ACLS (which supersedes BLS)
- First Aid or First Aid CPR AED certification within 30 days of hire
- Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire
- Fingerprint Clearance Card in process upon hire, to be submitted within 60 days
Licenses:
- Valid Arizona State LPN Licensure or compact state licensure required upon hire.
