Metal Fabrication Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Anderson Dahlen. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate estimates for fabricated metal components and assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of bills and routings for metal products, estimating ERP systems, and be fluent in manufacturing. You will be responsible for gathering information, analyzing important metrics, and conducting regular risk assessments to ensure accurate estimates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the part/project and its requirements
  • Determining key variables for cost and other estimates
  • Conducting research to obtain data on materials and processes
  • Gathering and reviewing offers and quotes from subcontractors
  • Performing risk analysis
  • Creating and submitting estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons
  • Building relationships with key vendors

Requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years as an Estimator or similar role
  • Basic mathematics skills and knowledge
  • Understanding of how to read and interpret blueprints and statement of work documents
  • ERP Systems experience
  • Proficient in relevant software including MS Office Suite
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
