Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wafer Fabrication Etch Processes Section Lead to join our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMSD) Department. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of microelectronics processing techniques and experience in III-V semiconductor processing and III-V epitaxial materials, preferably in GaAs or GaN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct a team of skilled process engineers to fabricate advanced microelectronic devices in accordance with various technology roadmaps.
  • Review process changes, identify and champion process improvement opportunities, and work to improve process yields.
  • Interface with operations management to ensure effective allocation of team resources and identify future capital investment needs.
  • Work with the department manager on manpower and resource planning, controlling overhead costs, and developing employee performance reviews.
  • Support management at the department, directorate, and functional leadership levels.
Requirements
  • Typically a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior work experience OR a Master's in STEM and 7 years of prior work experience OR a PhD in STEM and 4 years of prior work experience.
  • Experience in semiconductor processing or process integration.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is $118,000 USD - $246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
