Our Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Sustainability Consultant for our Environmental & Earth Sciences Practice. In this role, you will collaborate with a team to provide support for chemical regulatory compliance projects, focusing on biocides, biocidal products, agrochemicals, and their authorizations. You will also offer high-level scientific support for projects related to environmental forensics and environmental chemistry. The ideal candidate should be eager to broaden their expertise in chemical regulations (in various regions) and environmental chemistry, including, but not limited to, the chemistry of biocides and agrochemicals, risk assessment, safety evaluations, environmental fate and transport of chemicals, and forensic analysis of chemical contaminants.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dossiers for chemical authorizations in various regions.
  • Review studies and data pertaining to biocides, biocidal products, and agrochemicals.
  • Engage with government authorities on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate on projects with other members of the Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary teams from other Exponent practices.
  • Develop client relationships and foster business growth within the Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice and Chemical Regulation Practice.

Your Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, Agrochemicals, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in consulting or within a government agency.
  • Fluency in Korean (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential for chemical regulatory support projects.
  • Familiarity with chemical regulations (e.g., EU BPR, REACH, FIFRA) is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing time effectively.
  • Strong capability to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • A commitment to personal and professional development.
