Key Role: Software Development Manager

In this pivotal position as Software Development Manager at Eton Solution, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our organization. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for establishing technical standards, driving the overall technical architecture, and leading the software development team to deliver high-quality, architecturally-sound systems that meet our business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Help drive technical standards and architecture, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and contribute to a range of software development projects, focusing the team on solving the most challenging problems.
  • Software Development: Build high-quality software, utilizing modern cloud and edge approaches, to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • People Management: Manage, hire, and develop a team of high-performing software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional efforts from early stages through release, ensuring seamless integration with other teams.
  • Technical Direction: Influence organization roadmap priorities, system owners, and technical direction, guiding the technical direction and decisions to deliver solutions that meet GE HealthCare high standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience working in software engineering, including the design and development of highly scalable web services.
  • Leadership Experience: 4+ years of experience as a people manager in a software development organization, responsible for hiring and developing a team.
  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience planning, designing, developing, and delivering commercial and/or consumer software.
  • Communication Skills: Experience in partnering and effectively communicating with product and program management teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of technology and modern development practices, including Object Oriented principles (C++, Java or similar language), Service Oriented Architecture.
