Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing gas turbine engine components, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Analysis: Develop and modify designs for gas turbine engine components, including aero-engine components, using CAE tools such as NX and ANSYS.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to capture design and system requirements, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical Substantiation: Support technical substantiation, contribute to, and present in technical and program reviews.
  • Component Development: Develop components and modules, considering cost, performance, life, and system requirements.
  • Interface with Other Functions: Directly interface with other internal and external engineering functions to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in mechanical design of gas turbine or turbo-machinery components.
  • Education: Minimum BS/B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering from an accredited university.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with NX and ANSYS (Classic or workbench) or other similar tools, ability to interpret technical drawings with understanding of GD&T.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, maintain composure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to interact with employees/managers at all levels.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Office Environment: Mostly office environments, occasional shop floor involvement.
  • Regulated Industries: Heavily regulated industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical Work Schedule: Typical 8-hour days, plus lunch, 40-hour weeks, core hours are 9 AM to 4 PM.
Compensation and Benefits

Full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications. Pay ranges: $77,500-$92,500 USD.
