Job Details:
  • Location: Airport premises.
  • SHIFTS MAY VARY BASED ON OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS.
  • Applicants should present two forms of identification for security processing.

To be eligible for employment, the successful candidate must:
  • Complete and pass the necessary security clearance process.
  • Obtain a valid security identification badge.

Position Overview:
  • The Environmental Services Attendant may be assigned to various locations within the client’s premises.
  • This role involves cleaning and maintaining order in facilities across commercial, healthcare, educational, and other environments.
  • The core responsibilities include those outlined below, though additional tasks may be assigned based on business needs and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning duties in offices, patient/resident rooms, dormitories, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, hallways, food service areas, and any other spaces requiring attention.
  • Engage in sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing floors, and vacuuming hallways and office spaces.
  • May involve hard-surface floor maintenance, including scrubbing, stripping, and refinishing, as well as carpet cleaning tasks that necessitate mechanical equipment.
  • Participate in the upkeep of wooden floors in areas such as gyms or dance studios, including cleaning, screening, stripping, sanding, and refinishing.
  • Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, and window treatments.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
  • Empty waste and recycling containers.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Change bed linens and replenish towels.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and perform minor repairs.
  • May operate a golf cart or other vehicles as required.
  • Move furniture and set up tables and chairs for events.
  • Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Document all accidents and injuries promptly.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, training sessions, and hazard assessments.
  • Follow all relevant OSHA and local safety regulations in all assigned tasks.
  • Complete all work in accordance with established safety protocols.
  • Attend designated training programs (both in-person and virtual).
  • May assist with snow and ice management duties, including operating snow removal equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Familiarity with safe and effective use of custodial equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Demonstrated maturity in judgment and behavior.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards for work areas and personal appearance.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality in accordance with company policies.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Compliance with any required dress code.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Experience/Knowledge:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • No prior experience necessary.

Skills/Aptitude:
  • Ability to learn and apply established techniques for efficient task completion.
  • Professional demeanor and understanding of the importance of honesty and ethics.
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
  • Capability to provide clear instructions and respond appropriately to team members.
  • Basic proficiency in phone and computer usage (email, texting, etc.).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and local safety requirements relevant to assigned tasks.

License/Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license if driving is required.
  • Certifications: Blood Borne Pathogen Training.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to see clearly at various distances and adjust focus as needed.
  • Significant mobility and ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Capability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

Working Conditions:
  • Primarily indoors, with potential participation in outdoor activities.
  • Varied schedule including evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as required.
  • Moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment.
  • Use of protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment as mandated.
  • Exposure to various cleaning chemicals.
