Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at CarShield. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and monitor the AP email inbox.
  • Cash Reconciliations: Reconcile bank and credit card statements for multiple entities.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed general ledger account reconciliations and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Journal Entries: Enter and maintain journal entries in QuickBooks.
  • Vendor Management: Update and maintain vendor records in accounts payable system.
  • AP Aging: Reconcile the AP Aging and research outstanding payables.
  • Special Projects: Work on special projects as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Accounting degree or two years of suitable accounting experience.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, including amortization of prepaids and fixed assets. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience: Experience with accounting systems, QuickBooks, and Bill.Com is a plus.
