Job Summary

The Financial Cost Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring cost and manufacturing accounting processes for all NFT INC locations. This role will involve the timely and accurate collection and reporting of cost-related financial information and cost variance analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Harmonize and implement cost and inventory processes across NFT INC entities.
  • Maintain the Cost Accounting System and ensure inventory is valued accurately.
  • Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
  • Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
  • Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count programs.
  • Create and edit manufacturing and work tickets (WTs) in SAGE to include accurate labor routings and bill of materials.
  • Review, edit, and post daily labor transactions, material issues from inventory to manufacturing WTs and projects, and receipt of purchased goods for manufacturing.
  • Record, reconcile, and report transactions within the general ledger, including preparing journal entries, schedules, and analysis for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist the Director of Accounting and Finance in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Run weekly Revenue and Orders reports.
  • Analyze variances between actuals and forecast/budget and provide commentary.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Act as a contact for both internal and external audit.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related Accounting or Finance experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
  • Strong systems background and excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Computer Literate - Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word.
  • Experience with SAGE is a plus.
  • Works effectively in a team environment, within and outside of the Finance/Accounting Department.

  • Need to be physically able to function on the manufacturing floor to track work in progress, perform inventory cycle counts, view manufacturing operations for work order creation, and maintain Accounting presence.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) - able to communicate and establish working relationships with other departments and personnel; capable of drafting and organizing substantial documents.

  • Strong accounting experience and enjoys challenging the status quo and improving processes and controls.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and knowledge of spreadsheets, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Ability to excel within tight time constraints and rapid turnaround situations.
  • Strong analytical ability, good organization skills, and excellent time management skills while also being a self-starter.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance knowledge as it relates to accounting and financial matters.
  • Experience with General Ledger and/or Hyperion.
