Position Overview
As a Senior Accounting Specialist at Taylor Morrison, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Operations Team. Success in this position requires the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, possess strong analytical capabilities, drive improvements in departmental processes, and maintain a keen attention to detail while demonstrating exceptional organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will be expected to:
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, including reconciliations and the coordination and review of financial reports as needed.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures while addressing any accounting-related challenges.
- Perform monthly account analyses and roll-forwards of selected general ledger accounts to accurately reflect the financial position of the Division in line with company policies.
- Review ledger details, record adjusting journal entries, and prepare supporting schedules for financial statements.
- Assist with inquiries during audits.
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and journal entries as required.
- Focus on the continuous enhancement of established processes, controls, and documentation.
- Support Quarterly Forecasting efforts.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Are You the Right Fit?
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience.
- Knowledge of the real estate sector is advantageous.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing office or non-manual work directly related to management or general business operations.
- Exercising independent judgment and discretion regarding significant matters.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
