About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Technician II to join our team at AmerisourceBergen Pharmaceutical Distribution and Strategic Global Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within our fully automated Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Controls and Automation: Diagnose and repair electrical controls issues to a component level, including capacitors, inductors, diodes, LED, and transistors. Troubleshoot communication issues with devices connected to the MHE network or other networks such as Profibus.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintain the CMMS/EAM system on repairs required and performed on equipment in the Distribution Center.
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor other technicians and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Collaborate with the Systems Manager to ensure the effective use and functionality of automated equipment.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems. Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently. Ability to identify facilities-related maintenance problems and implement standard courses of action to resolve problems within established project timeframes and administrative and technical requirements.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
