Job Summary

Cencora is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within our Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical controls issues to a component level, including capacitors, inductors, diodes, LED, and transistors.
  • Program basic changes to PLC Controllers, including modifying timing, adding alarms and logic for additional inputs or outputs.
  • Troubleshoot communication issues with devices connected to the MHE network or other networks such as Profibus.
  • Operate and diagnose all chill water plant systems, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, BAS, HVAC, and water treatment.
  • Mentor other technicians and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Requirements
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including testing, replacement, or repair of electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ability to read electrical schematic, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder and block logic.
  • Ability to program basic changes to PLC controllers and properly wire additional devices to PLCs and other controllers.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers, including installation and setup of hard drives, RAM, network cards, monitor cards, and motherboards.
  • Computer software experience, including MS Office and MHE software such as RSLogix, Sort Director, GSMi, IPoint, Flex Sort, etc.
